CONVEYOR BELT OPERATIVE (VULCANISER)

Full-Time | Contract | West Yorkshire

We are looking for an experienced and reliable-Conveyor Belt Operative (Vulcaniser)-to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing and repair of conveyor belts at customer sites throughout the North of England.

This is a hands-on role suited to an individual who takes pride in their work, has a strong commitment to health and safety, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining, servicing, repairing and fitting conveyor belts at customer sites.
  • Carrying out vulcanising and associated conveyor belt work to a high standard.
  • Travelling to customer sites throughout the North of England.
  • Responding to breakdowns as part of our-24-hour emergency breakdown service.
  • Completing site reports and other required paperwork accurately.
  • Communicating professionally and clearly with customers and colleagues.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and representing the company positively at all times.
  • Complying with all relevant health and safety legislation, company policies and site procedures.
  • Undertaking training and professional development as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in conveyor belt maintenance, fitting or vulcanising is preferred.
  • A-full UK driving licence-is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good attention to detail and a professional approach to work.
  • Reliable, punctual and consistent attendance.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including-nights and weekends-when required.
  • Ability to work safely in a variety of customer and industrial environments.

Working Hours

As we operate a-24-hour breakdown service, the successful candidate must have a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to undertake occasional-night and weekend work.

Overtime and non-standard working hours will be paid accordingly.
