As a key member of the senior finance team, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting accurate financial reporting across international operations. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with UK and US teams, providing exposure to international accounting standards and processes. You will contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and have the chance to develop leadership skills by supervising a US-based staff Accountant.
What will the Financial Accountant role involve?
- Overseeing the US general ledger to ensure transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with reporting standards
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal reviews
- Assisting in preparing financial statements and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards
- Participating in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and financial controls
- Implementing process enhancements to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or equivalent with relevant experience
- Demonstrable experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Confident working with accounting systems, Excel, and multi-team environments
- Able to manage workload effectively to meet tight reporting deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
