FLT / Labourer Job Description
- Operating forklift trucks safely to load, unload and move materials around the warehouse or yard.
- Loading and unloading deliveries from vehicles.
- Moving stock, pallets and materials to designated areas.
- Carrying out general labouring duties, including manual handling and keeping work areas clean and organised.
- Picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch where required.
- Checking deliveries and reporting damaged or missing items.
- Following health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.
- Assisting other warehouse, production or site staff as needed.
- Carrying out routine checks on the FLT and reporting any faults.
- Maintaining a safe, tidy and efficient working environment.
- Performing other reasonable duties as required by the supervisor or manager.
Key requirements:
- Valid FLT licence/certificate.
- Previous warehouse, yard or labouring experience preferred.
- Good understanding of health and safety.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
