Groundworker (Flagging)

Job Description

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Multiskilled Flagger for an initial four-month temporary contract. The role is based in Bury, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with work carried out across the Borough of Bury.

Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out flagging, paving, pathways and associated external groundworks across council-owned properties and housing stock. The role will involve repairing and renewing external surfaces, drainage systems and steps, as well as undertaking associated groundwork and minor masonry repairs.

Main Duties:

  • Carry out repairs and renewals to flags, paving, paths, steps and other external surfaces
  • Undertake associated groundwork, drainage work and minor masonry repairs
  • Work across occupied residential properties while providing a professional service to residents
  • Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality and productivity standards
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in flagging and groundwork repairs
  • Experience working within social housing or a similar domestic repairs environment
  • Experience with paving, kerbing, drainage or associated external groundworks
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Own hand tools and equipment
  • Good knowledge of health and safety requirements
