This is a hands-on production role suited to someone with experience operating machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for monitoring production, maintaining quality standards and ensuring machinery continues to run efficiently.
As Machine Operative, your duties will include:
- Operating and feed various machinery safely and efficiently in line with production requirements
- Monitoring machinery throughout the production process and making adjustments where required
- Ensuring machinery is running at the correct speeds and maintaining consistent production output
- Carrying out regular quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards
- Identifying and reporting any machinery, production or quality issues
- Monitoring material usage and minimising unnecessary waste
- Carrying out machine cleaning and routine housekeeping to maintain a safe and efficient production area
- Following production orders and ensuring the correct materials are used and kept appropriately separated
- Completing production records and other relevant paperwork accurately
- Working to strict health and safety, quality and production procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Previous experience operating production machinery
- Good attention to detail and an understanding of quality requirements
- Experience working to production targets and deadlines
- A good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
- The ability to identify issues and communicate them effectively
- A reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work
- Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends
- Up to -16 per hour
- Temp to perm opportunity
