Management Accountant

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Job Type: Permanent | Full Time
We're looking for a qualified Management Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for month-end reporting, balance sheet control and maintaining accurate financial records, while supporting continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts with P&L and balance sheet analysis.
- Produce and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Take ownership of fixed asset accounting, including CapEx, capitalisation, depreciation and disposals.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate accounting for capital expenditure.
- Manage payroll accounting and operational cost reporting.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
- Support month-end close, statutory accounts and external audit requirements.
- Assist with financial controls, reporting improvements and finance systems development.
- Partner with budget holders to provide financial analysis and support business decision-making.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Previous experience producing management accounts.
- Strong understanding of fixed assets, CapEx accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience with journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Good knowledge of UK GAAP.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
- Proactive, analytical and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
