Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking outstanding SEND Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming specialist school in Harrow. We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive individuals with experience supporting students with autism, communication needs, and a range of additional learning needs.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and a multidisciplinary team to support students both academically and socially. You will play a key role in helping students develop confidence, independence, communication skills, and positive relationships in a nurturing environment.

To be successful for this role you must:

  • Bring passion, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to work in SEND learning environments.
  • Have knowledge and experience supporting students with autism and/or additional learning needs.
  • Have experience working within education, care, or support settings with children or adults.
  • Be committed to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Be patient, resilient, and adaptable to meet the individual needs of learners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Encouraging students to engage with personalised learning programmes.
  • Promoting independence, communication, and positive behaviour.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
  • Supporting students during breaktimes, educational visits, and transitions throughout the school day.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide the best possible outcomes for students.
