Manufacturing Warehouse Shift Leader (Nights)

Role Overview The Warehouse Shift Leader (Nights) is responsible for overseeing the entire night shift operation, ensuring productivity, safety, and operational targets are consistently met. This role provides leadership to Team Leaders and warehouse colleagues, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across all areas.

Key Responsibilities

andbull; Lead and manage all warehouse activities during the night shift, ensuring smooth and efficient operations

andbull; Supervise and support Team Leaders, providing direction, coaching, and performance management

andbull; Monitor KPIs (e.g. pick rates, dispatch accuracy, turnaround times) and take corrective action where required

andbull; Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies

andbull; Manage staffing levels, shift planning, and resource allocation to meet operational demands

andbull; Conduct shift briefings and debriefings, communicating priorities and performance expectations

andbull; Investigate and resolve operational issues, incidents/accidents & staff conduct issues.

andbull; Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

andbull; Collaborate with other departments (transport, goods in, management) to ensure alignment

andbull; Produce reports on shift performance and escalate issues to senior management where necessary

Skills & Experience

andbull; Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role (preferably in a supervisory/shift leader capacity)

andbull; Strong leadership and people management skills

andbull; Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

andbull; Good understanding of warehouse systems and processes

andbull; Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

andbull; Strong communication and organisational skills andbull; Knowledge of health & safety regulations

andbull; MHE Trained (counterbalance/Bendy preferred)

andbull; First Aid trained (preferred)

Shifts/Working Hours: work 4 over 7 Days, 12-hour Shifts, weeks run from Sunday-Saturday for operational purposes,

Week 1

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday

Week 2

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
